BEHIND THE TIMELINE

I’m Sakib.
I think in cuts.

A pause can change a line. A cut can change a scene. That’s the part of editing I keep coming back to.

I work across real estate, brand stories, creator content, and motion design. Some projects need a fast, graphic rhythm. Others need space. I start by figuring out what the footage is trying to say.

DaVinci Resolve is where I bring the pieces together: footage, type, colour, and sound. I also build tools for the editing process, including Icon Studio ↗.

HOW I APPROACH AN EDIT

01

Start with meaning.

Know what the audience needs to understand before choosing the effect.

02

Give it a rhythm.

Let the pacing follow the story, whether that means a quick cut or a held moment.

03

Care about the finish.

Consistent colour, clear captions, and small details make the piece feel complete.
